Dreamer, Nothin' but a Dreamer!

I chose the title for this post because of the crazy music video channel that my compañero Matt and I were mesmerized by in our crappy cheap hotel room in Honduras. The channel played youtube videos of '70s and '80s rock bands, but not the hit songs... only the offbeat weird experiments of Phil Collins, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana, Supertramp, Etc... all the music my dad had us listening to growing up. It was a totally bizarre experience to be with my 44 year old dude friend and listening to dad style music in a small town of Honduras while making videos about a rising social movement.
The long story short is that Matt and I met when he co-led a Human Rights delegation that I attended through Global Youth Connect to Venezuela. He and I kept in touch on the interwebs and started a couple of blogs about participatory democracy worldwide and specifically in the US . When I was searching for people to accompany Radio Progress o with me in Honduras during the fraudulent elections held November 29, Matt was the only person who could contribute the necessary time, energy, money, and equipment to make a documentary happen. We are currently editing footage for a full length documentary, but we were also able to capture and edit short documentaries about the days leading up to the elections in El Progres o and the day of the elections in San Pedro Sula .
We were very fortunate that I had made the connection with Radio Progreso during the Human Rights delegation I was on with Witness for Peace because they let us use their facilities the entire time we were there (almost 2 weeks) to process and edit the short films. I hope you take the time to check them out because they provide a perspective from the ground that you almost certainly haven't found in mainstream media.
